D'Open Kitchen is the work of founder Trish Yee, who opened the studio in 2014 with a simple belief: the kitchen is where people connect best. For over a decade she has been designing the classes and challenges our guests know us for, dishing out fond memories one session at a time.
Then she stepped out of the studio and onto national television. Competing against home cooks from across the country in Season 2 of MasterChef Singapore, Trish cooked her way through round after round and finished 3rd in the nation.
That experience now flavours everything we run. The pressure tests, the mystery boxes and the plating standards all carry a little of the MasterChef kitchen in them, guided by someone who has lived it.
We exist to turn the kitchen into common ground, a place where colleagues, friends and families set aside titles and to-do lists and simply create something together. Our mission is to make hands-on cooking the most memorable way for people in Singapore to connect, celebrate and belong, with food everyone can share.
