Frequently asked questions

Is the wet market tour suitable for everyone?

Absolutely! While Singaporean wet markets are bustling, sensory environments, our guides are experts at navigating them comfortably. We stick to well-maintained sections and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience. It’s an authentic slice of local life that most tourists never get to see.

What should I wear to the market?

Dress comfortably for tropical weather. We strongly recommend closed-toe, non-slip shoes, as the market floors can sometimes be wet (hence the name!).

What happens if it rains?

This is Singapore—rain happens! Don't worry, the wet markets are fully sheltered open-air buildings. Our walk to the transport is short, and we’ll ensure you stay as dry as possible. The tour goes on, rain or shine.

Do I need to bring cash for the market?

The ingredients for the cooking class are covered in your tour price. However, if you wish to buy unique local snacks, spices, or souvenirs for yourself along the way, we recommend bringing some small cash notes ($2, $5, $10), as most stallholders do not accept cards.

Do I need any cooking experience?

Not at all. This experience is designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to home cooks. Our professional chefs will guide you step-by-step through the preparation and cooking process in our air-conditioned studio.

Where is the meeting point?

The meeting point will be at Outram MRT station and is very accessible. We will send you the exact meeting instructions via email/WhatsApp 24 hours before your tour. Please arrive 10 minutes early.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand plans change. Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the scheduled tour will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable as we pre-order fresh ingredients based on headcount.
