Line Friend characters were initially created as a sticker used on LINE messager app by a Korean company, LINE corporation. Because the characters are so cute and adorable, it soon became a global character brand and you can find see stores around the world selling Line Friend's merchandise. The Line Friends character bento is extremely popular with adults. You can try making them with your friends at home. Minimal ingredients and tools required.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

Sushi Rice Mix

  • 1 cup Japanese Shortgrain Rice
  • 1.25 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Japanese Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Pangyo & Cony Rice Ball

  • 1 piece Ham
  • 1 piece Cheese Slice
  • 1 piece Japanese Seaweed
  • 1 bunch Broccoli
  • 4-5 pieces Cherry Tomatoes

Instructions
 

Pandan (Pangyo)

  • Take a piece of cling wrap to and put it on your palm. Scoop 2 tbsp rice and wrap tightly into round ball. Set aside
  • Take a piece of cling wrap, place a tbsp of rice inside. Separate into 5 tiny round balls. Remove and wrap 4 balls with seaweed to form the panda ears and hands. Set aside. Leave one tiny round ball for the pout.
  • Take the seaweed to cut two round circle for the bigger eyes and two smaller circle for the pupils. Cut out the mouth expression using seaweed.
  • Take the straw and cut out two circle from a piece of cheese. Fatten down a little.
  • Place the bigger eyes seaweed in the centre of the rice, place cheese circles over and followed by smaller round seaweed.
  • Place the pout in the centre of the eyes. Place the mouth expression on the pout. Place the panda rice ball in the box. Assemble the ears and hands.

Bunny (Cony)

  • Take a piece of cling wrap to and put it on your palm. Scoop 2 tbsp rice and wrap tightly into round ball. Set aside
  • Take a piece of cling wrap, place a tbsp of rice inside. Roll into a long cylinder, cut into half equal length. Make two tiny round balls for the hands too.
  • Take the seaweed to cut the 6 thin short strips for eyes. Cut seaweed for the mouth expression too.
  • Take the tiny straw and cut out two circle from a piece of ham for the cheek and also two oval shape for the rabbit ears.
  • Place the rabbit rice ball in the box. Assemble the ears and hands.

You can mix and match your own veggies for decorations
